Tip The Domino
Lyrics: John Popper
Music: Crugie Riccio

Sold our gold and we sold our hands
We find our minds and we lose it again
We fawn on love and we fall on thighs
A little laid back it's of little surprise
To watch the whole world end on the video, no
It doesn't matter if you miss the show

Because it'll repeat in intervals of 63 seconds
Calling deep space for images in multiplication
How we spend our whole lives in anticipation
Of extinction and total annihilation

It starts out so small
Now you see it now you don't
See how perfectly we fall
Catch a tiger by the toe
Look out kids you'll tip the domino

See the love the light it all does shine
Forty five and five folds in time
Moon phases heal but not for long
Save yourself before we're far too gone
From this brave new world of syndication
Its sooner later than you'll know

It starts out so small
Now you see it now you don't
See how perfectly we fall
Catch a tiger by the toe
Look out kids you'll tip the domino

You've been expecting but never taught
As rings of fire burn around you
You're mixing right from wrong ingredients
But instant karma's not gonna change you
Keep a watchful eye on your saviors
Who are actually your demons dressed in drag
Look out kids you'll tip the domino

Because it'll repeat in intervals of 63 seconds
Calling deep space for images and multiplication

It starts out so small
Now you see it now you don't
See how perfectly we fall
Catch a tiger by the toe
Look out kids you'll tip the domino

Whoa, Whoa, Whoa?

Catch a tiger by the toe
A line from a popular children's rhyme used to select "it" in a game. See also "Yours" and "The Sun And The Storm".
tip the domino
A reference to the pastime of setting up dominoes in lines and patterns, and then tipping them over by making one fall. Aficionados of this pastime refer to it as "toppling" rather than tipping, but this is where the expression "domino effect" comes from - a series of consequences happening as the result of a small action. The admonition to "look out kids" is a caution against setting this chain of events in action.
folds in time
Vaguely reminiscent of the science-fiction novel "A Wrinkle In Time", in whict is postulated that time travel is possible because time can fold like fabric. Another interpretation would be keeping with the game-playing motif, the poker maxim "A fold in time saves a dime", i.e. cut your losses when you have a bad hand rather than hoping for a miracle card. Finally, the phrase "folds of time" (also seen as "sands of time") is often used to refer to distant history, as something being lost or buried in the folds of time.
rings of fire
The basin of the Pacific Ocean is frequently referred to as the "ring of fire" because of the volcanic and seismic activity that happens around its edges. "Ring of Fire" is also a song by country singer Johnny Cash that hit #1 on the country charts and rose as high as #17 on the pop charts in the early 1960's. The first stanza reads:
Love is a burning thing
And it makes a fiery ring
Bound by wild desire
I fell into a ring of fire
instant karma
Aside from "Imagine", "Instant Karma!" is perhaps the most famous solo composition by John Lennon. It was written and recorded in less than 24 hours; reportedly in less than ten takes, and was released a few weeks later.
