We are proud to announce that BluesTraveler.net has been chosen as the
"Fan Site of the month" at Jambands.com. This feature started at Jambands
in November of 2001, shortly after the site's inception, and is a nod to
the fact that in many instances fans' sites do a great deal to enhance a
band's popularity and community by tapping into what the fan base truly
wants and thinks about their favorite music makers. This is the first time
BluesTraveler.net has been honored - many thanks to site editor Dean
Budnick for thinking of us. The feature can be seen on Jambands.com.
The John Popper Project tour has been officially announced. Beginning
with an October 17th show in New York (two weeks after the self-titled
album is released), the band swings southward and westward, playing 14
shows over a three-week period. The west-coast swing should be especially
interesting, given shows near John's new hometown in Washington and a
Halloween gig in Portland. Ticket information and links are available on
the new official web site or
right here at bluestraveler.net.
Unfortunately, one show of Blues Traveler's fall tour has become a
casualty of tour scheduling; due to the JPP tour running through November
4th, the Blues Traveler show scheduled for that same date has been
cancelled. The band's statement:
Due to unfortunate circumstances the Nov 4th show in Stamford
CT at the Palace Theater has been cancelled. Tickets are refundable at
your point of purchase for a full refund. Blues Traveler will be making
extra efforts to try and reschedule this show for next year as the band
feels strongly about making this show up to the fans in the CT area.
Something special may be surrounding a make up show for you Fellow
Travelers in the CT area, so check back soon. As always feel free to email
Gina at gina@bluestraveler.com.
Thanks Fellow Travelers for making the effort early and we are truly
sorry for this show being cancelled.
