Due to strong protestations from Gettysburg College officials, the show
announced for the Chameleon in Lancaster, Pennsylvania has been canceled and
moved to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. The complaints stemmed from the fact that
Gettysburg and Lancaster are separated by a mere 55 miles, while the common
permissible distance is 60 miles, according to reports from the college.
The rescheduling will mark the band's first appearance in Delaware in quite
some time; John Popper Band was slated to kick off its first-ever tour at
the Bottle and Cork in Dewey Beach but canceled the show due to Bob
Sheehan's passing. It is believed that the band has not played in the state
of Delaware since 1991; they will now grace the Bay Center on October 21st.
Continuing an experiment started on their Run to Red Rocks tour, Blues
Traveler will be offering Fan Club tickets through their web site, offered
by MusicToday.com. The tickets will carry a $2 surcharge over face value,
and will only be available at the will call window on the day of the show.
Positive identification is necessary to claim tickets, which will be made
available within the next week. BluesTraveler.Net will post a link here
when they go on sale.
