| A recent news blurb from an unidentified news source pegs the release of
Frogwings' inaugural album Croakin' at Toad's on October 3rd.
The album, originally slated for an August 22nd release, will be a
recording of the second set of the band's show at the New Haven, CT club
Toad's Place last February 12th. The show's second set won the band a
Jammy award back in June; the album's set includes:
- Kickin' JS Bach
- Hurdy Gurdy
- Pattern
- Eddie's Got A Boyfriend
- Just One
- Ganja>
- Deviant Dreams
- Among Your Pillows
While deeply entrenched in studio rehearsal sessions out in Los Angeles,
Blues Traveler managed to make some time to rock the Electric Factory at
a benefit show for Tom DeLay and the Republican National Convention. The
show started at $5000 a head and went all the way up to $25,000, which
included a "Backstage Special" and the chance to meet John Popper, according
to an article in
Salon Magazine. Early reports are that the show was indeed recorded
despite the hefty entrance fee to the invitation-only gig, and a setlist
can be found here.
