According to a web site for the
band Live, Blues Traveler is one of a dozen
bands slated to play the Voodoo Music Festival in New Orleans, LA on October
28th of this year. The gig will mark the first time the band has played
together in Bobby Sheehan's adopted hometown since a May 1st, 1997 slot at
the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Fest. The band was considering the JazzFest
again this year but decided against it in favor of more time in rehearsal.
Among the other artists scheduled to appear are HORDE alums Ben Harper,
Guster, 311 and Cypress Hill, as well as Live, Stone Temple Pilots, Counting
Crows, Eminem and Black Eyed Peas. Check back at the festival's website,
more details once the site is up and running. Last year's festival
included over twenty artists plus "special guests", so more information is
sure to be forthcoming.
Not to be outdone, Stolen Ogre has issued a press release regarding their
upcoming gig a month from now.
